The Makers Market is an opportunity for local artists to put their work on display for Artfest attendees. Check out the fantastic artists and vendors that were in attendance at 2017's Makers Market! 

Downtown Galleries

The Downtown Plano Arts District is home to several art galleries that will have exhibits going on during Plano Artfest. Be sure to visit some of them while you are downtown! For more information on specific galleries, click the pictures below.


There will be a variety of live performances on both Friday and Saturday on the Community Stage! Stay tuned for the 2018 schedule... and check out some of last year's performers!

Contemporary Artists

One of the highlights of the 2017 Artfest experience was the DART Contemporary Art Exhibit, which featured art installations from several DFW artists. Learn more info about the contemporary artists below.


Joshua King

Joshua’s artwork brings new intensity and expression to sought-after objects that are grounded within our relationship to the everyday. He is one of the three co-founders of Aurora, a free and public contemporary art exhibition in the Dallas Arts District.


Milan Bender

Milan Bender, 34 years old, lives and works in East Dallas. He loves working with light and seeing what it can do to create moods and environments that are subtle and stimulating. Milan owns and operates Built By Bender LLC with his two brothers, Ariel and Aaron.


Alicia Eggert 

Alicia's art focuses on the relationship between language, image and time. Her work has been exhibited at notable institutions nationally and internationally and featured in several publications. She an Assistant Professor of Studio Art and the Sculpture Area Coordinator at the University of North Texas.

Longhui Zhang

Longhui is an interdisciplinary visual artist working and living in Plano, Texas. His work uses suitcase and travel related found objects as a symbol of identity—as a container of self and the vehicle of transformation. His work has been exhibited in DFW and in Shanghai and Fuijon China.

Erica Felicella

Erica is a self-taught photographer and new media artist living in DFW. She is actively involved in her local art community and is a key member and organizer at Kettle Art, a gallery in Deep Ellum. Her work has traveled around the country and been featured in numerous publications.


Like to doodle with chalk? Or maybe you're a concrete Rembrandt. Either way, you might be interested in participating in our Chalk-It-Up event. Registration is FREE and there will be prizes given away to the top three pieces in the professional and amateur categories. Here are photos and videos of the event in past years. **Registration is not open yet. Plano ArtS Coalition Members

The Plano Arts Coalition works to establish Plano as a diverse cultural destination through promotion, advocacy, and collaboration. The PAC has helped make Plano Artfest possible and continues to support the growth of the Downtown Plano Arts District.
