Wood worker Doug Moreland has mastered the art of the chainsaw, using the tool to whittle detailed carvings out of wood. He will be doing live demos at the festival.
Don't miss the Plano Art Association Face-Off! Ten PAA members will gather in the Interurban Railway Museum from 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM on Saturday, April 28 to paint and draw a live model. During the afternoon, they will complete a painting of the subject. The artists will also have some of their work on display.
Be on the lookout for Nancy Gillings, who will be fluttering through the festival in her fairy wings. She'll snap a photo with you, or she can even help the kids make their own wings!
The graffiti artists (Eder Martinez, Sam Molina, & Kirk Garnett) have become a Plano Artfest favorite, using their spray paint skills to add an exciting element to the festival. We can't wait to see what they come up with this year!
The Holman Pottery Gallery, a studio located in the Downtown Plano Arts District, will be in attendance at the festival. Be sure to stop by their booth in the Makers Market where they will be doing live pottery demonstrations!
