Does it cost anything to attend Artfest? No! Artfest is a free community event. If you want to purchase food and beverage from the concessionaires or artwork from the Makers Market, you will want to bring cash or credit cards.
Is Artfest a family friendly event? Sunday, April 23 is the designated family fun day with local arts groups performing, a designated kids zone, craft stations, public art installations, Makers Market, and the Chalk It Up competition. Families are welcome to attend the festivities on Saturday, April 22 in McCall Plaza, but it is geared more towards a contemporary art crowd of young adults and older. There will be alcohol served, an Artisan Lounge with vaping stations, contemporary art installations, and a concert on the Hub Streat Stage in McCall Plaza.
Where is Artfest this year? The Saturday evening portion will be from 5:00pm-11:00pm in McCall Plaza located at 998 E. 15th Street, Plano, TX 75074. The family fun day will be from 10:00am-6:00pm on Sunday in Haggard Park.
When is Artfest? Saturday, April 22nd in McCall Plaza from 5:00pm-11:00pm and Sunday, April 23 in Haggard Park from 10:00am-6:00pm.
Who produces Artfest? Plano Artfest is produced by the Historic Downtown Plano Association and the Plano Art Coalition.
Does it cost any money to park? No. Parking is free in any of the public lots in the Downtown Plano Arts District.
Does it cost any money to participate in the Chalk It Up or the Kids Zone? No. Both activities are free to everyone.
Will there be food and drink available? Yes. There will be Hub Streat certified food trucks on Saturday night and local concessionaires on Sunday in Haggard Park.
How many vendors are in the Makers Market? This year, we will have 30-40 vendors in the Makers Market.
Are you closing the street for Artfest? No, we are not.
