This panel discussion will revolve around the theme of artificial intelligence, a topic explored in Black Flag Theatre Company’s regional premiere of “Uncanny Valley” at Cox Playhouse in Downtown Plano. The playwright, Thomas Gibbons, will be on the panel, along with thought leaders from Capital One.
Pipe & Palette Home Outfitters and Mixed Media Art Classes will host a Make & Take station on both Friday and Saturday of the festival.
There will be $15 paint and seal acrylic pottery, $12 jewelry making, $5 wood paintings, and $5 photo transfers.
Five resident studio artists at Rail Station Studios will be demonstrating their art processes during ArtFest. The artists are Gene Dillard (portrait demo from live model), Linda McCarley, (encaustic), Don Dillard (watercolor landscapes), Barb Keilson (pet portraiture), and Ginger Cruickshank (colorful expressionism).
Additionally, there will be exhibits on display of new works created by the artists. Drawings for door prizes will be held throughout the event.
The exhibits will begin Saturday evening at 5 p.m., while the demonstrations will take place on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
